Tirupati: Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samithi (RPS) president Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy alleged gross violation of zonal system in the promotion and recruitment in the police department affecting the personnel from Rayalseemaa which falls under zone 4 in the State.

Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, Rajasekhar Reddy said that the gross violation of zonal system by the government deprived the eligible candidates getting employment in the police department while many working in the department were also denied promotions.

He said the violation causing injustice to Rayalaseema candidates was revealed clearly in the information provided to him under RTI act. “RPS along with likeminded outfits would launch a struggle including legal course against the injustice meted out to the people of Rayalaseema where it flouted zonal system while at same time the government scrupulously followed it with to regard to the appointments in the other three zones in the State,” he warned.

Reddy said that such flouting of zonal system by the government not confined to police department but in many departments including Irrigation and warned that if such flouting of norms allowed to go on unchecked, the future will turn bleak to the youth of Rayalsaeema.
