Guntur: Telangana Telugu Desam Party MLA and National BC Welfare Association president R Krishnaiah demanded that the Andhra Pradesh government increase the age limit for unemployed students to 44 years in the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) notifications and also urged the government to announce a notification for filling up all the vacant posts in Group 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Addressing the media at ‘Nirudyoga Garjana’ which was conducted by the ‘Nirudyoga Ikya Vedika’ on Tuesday at Mahima Gardens in Guntur, he said that nearly 1.95 lakh vacancies existed in the AP State government and 14 lakh vacancies existed in 72 departments at the Central level, but no notifications had been released to date.

Krishnaiah said that as many as 18 lakh students were unemployed. He said there were as many as 800 vacancies in Group 1, 3200 in Group 2, 4000 in Group 3, 24000 in Group 4 and 8000 vacancies in Engineering department along with many posts in junior lecturers and degree lecturers’ category.

Krishnaiah said that recruiting youngsters would help to reduce the corruption in the administration and also serve people better. Giving a call to students to participate actively in politics, Krishnaiah said the Telangana student organisations would also fight against the AP government for releasing notifications to all vacant posts in the State government and urged students not to commit suicide.

Former MLC KS Lakshman Rao said that the State government had not issued any notifications for the last 6 years in the State and also demanded that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu fulfil the 2014 election manifesto.

Nirudyoga Ikya Vedika president KV Subramanyam, Vice president Arun Kumar, YSRCP city president Lella Appi Reddy, YSRCP district president Rajasekhar and nearly 2000 students were present at the convention.
