Ongole: Congress refuted the statement made by Chief Minister N Chandrababu against the party during his tour in Ongole on Tuesday. The Chief Minister blamed the Congress for dividing the State unscientifically without announcing the measures to be taken for the construction of capital, revenue deficit et al.

He said that the people of Andhra Pradesh will never forget what the Congress has done to the State and will never give mandate to it again. Reacting to the comments, official spokesperson of Congress Shaik Saida said: “Congress party elevated Chandrababu Naidu to a Cabinet minister position. Now, he is flaying the party which has given him political life.

The Chief Minister is claiming that his government has fulfilled 90 per cent of the promises he had made to the public, but in reality he didn’t fulfil not even six promises, he pointed out. Saida also lambasted the Chief Minister for neglecting the backward Prakasam district.

He said, “Almost all mandals in the district are reeling under drought. But the TDP in-charges, MLAs, district Minister and in-charge Minister failed to make the government announce the district as drought-hit and not even added to the list of backward districts list in the State.
