Kurnool: Superintendent of Police Ake Ravi Krishna inaugurated renovated rooms for four dogs – Diana, Tina, Jhonny and Yami – at the Command Control Room here on Wednesday.

Later, addressing the media, Ravi Krishna said four rooms were made ready after painting and colouring by the dog squad teams and all kinds of facilities would be provided to the four dogs. The dog squads would help the police personnel during raids at bus stands, railway stations and other areas.

They would be particularly helpful during surprise raids. He said the dog squads were specialised in detecting explosives. He expected more dogs to be added to the squads in Kurnool in the coming years. Subramaniam, Y Sunki Reddy, Swamulu and Manohar would take care of the four dogs, he added.
