Construction of 2 lakh houses soon: Narayana
Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana said that the State government will be inviting tenders for construction of two lakh houses for the poor shortly.
Nellore: Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana said that the State government will be inviting tenders for construction of two lakh houses for the poor shortly.
The Minister participated in Jana Chaitanya Yatra in Kavali on Thursday. On the occasion, Narayana and Municipal Chairperson Alekhya have laid foundation stone for cement concrete roads with a cost of Rs 50 lakh in 5th and 6th divisions in the town. Later, the Minister interacted with students of Municipal High School at Brundavan Kalyana Mandapam. Speaking to the media, the Minister said that the houses will be built with a cost of Rs 1,800 per square feet.
About 4,000 houses will be constructed in Kavali for the poor, he said. He inspected sanitation works at Konadanna Colony and directed the Municipal Commissioner to focus on maintaining hygienic conditions in the streets. He alleged that opposition parties are trying to create hurdles for development of the town.
