Kurnool: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Rajya Sabha member T G Venkatesh urged the people to make the Jana Chaitanya Yatra a grand success and termed it as a bridge between people and the government. He said that the Chief Minister (CM) would participate in a 3 km Padayatra starting from Kids World, Osmania College, Arya Vysya Kalyana Mandapam, One Town, Chinna Ammavari Sala, Chowk and round it up at Konda Reddy Buruju before participating in the Jana Chaitanya Yatra at Coles Memorial Junior College.

The TDP MP said the CM will inaugurate many development works in the city that have been sanctioned under AMRUT scheme by the Central government with a cost of Rs 68 crore.

Later, District Collector Ch Vijay Mohan inspected arrangements made for CM’s visit to Kurnool on November 5. He along with Superintendent of Police (SP) Ake Ravi Krishna and MLCs, Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy, Sudhakar Babu and MLAs, SV Mohan Reddy and Mani Gandhi visited various places in Kurnool.

Talking to the media, Vijay Mohan said that the Chief Minister will distribute the second phase of input funds to the tune of Rs 1.25 crore to the DWCRA women at outdoor stadium and also give out input subsidy of Rs 250 crore to the farmers pertaining to the last two years.

Besides, extending financial aid to the deceased families of 87 members and handing over Chandranna Bima certificates to 6 lakh beneficiaries, he added. Kurnool MLA and MLC, SV Mohan Reddy and Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy said that this is the first time in Kurnool history that a Chief Minister is participating padayatra to know people woes.
