Puttaparthi (Anantapur): Minister for Minorities, IT and Information Palle Raghunatha Reddy participated in the Jana Chaitanya Yatra at Bandenaik Thanda in Puttaparthi mandal here on Thursday. Addressing a meeting in the Thanda, Palle said that the Chief Minister despite the severe financial crisis facing the State has kept his loan waiver promise and waived off a whopping Rs 24,000 crore farm loan benefitting 84 lakh in the State.
He said that even pension amounts had been raised from Rs 200 to Rs 1,000. The Minister inaugurated an Anganwadi building and cement concrete road in the village. He said that by all means the first phase of Handri-Neeva project will be completed. “Rs 30 crore had been spent on repairs of supply channels and check dams for supply of water to the villages connecting the scheme,” he added.
