RK safe, confirms Varavara Rao

Hyderabad: Revolutionary writer Varavara Rao on Thursday confirmed that Maoist leader Akkiraju Haragopal alias Ramakrishna alias RK is ‘safe’.

Speaking to The Hans India, Varavara Rao explained that he had come to the conclusion that RK was safe, after he heard the audio clip of a woman named ‘Jagabandhu’, believed to be the spokesperson for extremists in AOB (Andhra Orissa Border) area.

After listening to the audio, it was clear that RK, along with other three prime targets, was alive. He cautioned the state governments to stop combing operations as the Maoists would be intensifying their activity.
