Dwaraka Tirumala: The Lord Venkateswara temple, here received Rs.2.24 Crores as income through Hundi for the last 42 days. The officials opened the hundi on Thursday in the presence of executive officer Vendra Trinadha Rao and counted the amount in the temple premises.

Trinadha Rao said that the hundi income was at Rs.2,24,32,826 in cash, besides this, 710 grams of gold ornaments. During October, the auspicious month of Aswayuja, devotees flooded the temple, in which kalyanotsavam of Lord Venkateswara was performed. The EO said that Aswayuja Brahmotsavam has given huge income to the famous pilgrim centre.
