Kurnool: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu said that the activists are the main back bone to the party. He addressed party meeting at Coles Memorial Junior College, here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Naidu said the TDP activists have suffered a lot during congress rule. “Even in those circumstances, activists never left the party and encouraged the party by taking the party flags on their shoulders,” he recalled and reiterated that he won’t forget those sacrifices in his life time.

He said that many people are getting attracted towards the party and around 84 lakh people have taken membership. “The party is moving forward with the mix of old and new members. TDP is the only party, which has given good recognition to its members,” he said and claimed that no other party in the country was even close in the endeavour. “Many parties have evolved and vanished without winning the hearts of the people. TDP has made an indelible mark in the hearts of the Telugu people. This is possible because of transparent governance being extended. Both government and the party are striving for the welfare of the people. TDP has always worked for the benefit of people. We have introduced many welfare schemes, which no other government has dared to do,” the Chief Minister claimed.

Naidu alleged that the Congress party has ruined entire administration in the State during their 10 years of rule. He said the government has implemented 15 points program to benefit the people and urged the rank and file of the party to educate about the importance of the programme. He said that the government has released water to Rayalaseema through Hundri Neeva and Galeri Nagari projects. “As much as 16 tmc ft of water was given through Velugodu reservoir and will give water to remaining projects,” he said and assured of completing the Gundrevula and Guru Raghavendra projects.
