Four die as car falls into gorge

Payakaraopet (Visakhapatnam): Four persons were killed on the spot when Innova car in which they were travelling towards Tuni hit the
road divider and fell into a roadside gorge (small farm canal) near Adda Road in S Rayavaram mandal in the district on the National
Highway-16 on Saturday.
On receiving information, a team of S Rayavaram police led by sub-inspector Arun Kumar, Nakkapalli inspector G Rambabu and traffic SI
Malleswara Rao rushed to the spot and took up relief operation. They immediately summoned a heavy crane and lifted the overturned car
on to the road.
By then, all the four persons, including a woman, were found dead. Basing on the information of driving licence of a person in the driver
seat, the police identified him as G Srinivasa Rao, son of Appa Rao, Official Colony, Srinagar, Gajuwaka in Visakhapatnam. Whether all
the four belong to the same family and to where they were going is yet to be acertained, police said. The bodies were shifted to the
Nakkapalli government hospital and further investigation is on.
