Officials seize foreign liquor in Tada

Nellore: Commercial Tax officials at Integrated Check Post, Tada, seized two cartons of foreign-made liquor on Saturday which was being transported in a truck carrying toys.

They found the liquor was made in France and truck workers kept the cartons under toys and officials seized the bottles based on a tip-off from unidentified persons.

The truck was moving from Chennai towards Hyderabad with load of toys and officials from the Commercial Tax department checked the stocks inside it.

The officials found two cartons of foreign liquor and seized them. They handed over cartons to the Excise officials at the check post.
