Visakhapatnam: Indian Overseas Bank, regional office, here conducted Vigilance Awareness campaign on Saturday as part of Vigilance
Awareness Week celebrations. The programme was presided over by chief guest CBI Inspector Srinivasa Rao who told that every citizen
should be vigilant and committed to highest standards of honesty and integrity and support the fight against corruption.

He also said that it is difficult to eradicate corruption altogether, but can be minimised by spreading awareness on corruption. He told
that many of the frauds are happening due to lack of proper knowledge about the area concerned and not adhering to systems and
procedures.

Bank Chief Regional Manager, K Manorama while appreciating the valuable inputs given by the chief guest said that the systems and
procedures in their bank are stringent and controlling authorities are taking every step to make the field level staff vigilant to exercise
the due diligence like obtaining proper KYC, adhering to systems and procedures and inspection of properties. Hence, there are very few
cases reported as fraud to CBI.

All the regional office staff and branch managers took the pledge to eradicate corruption in all walks of life through active public
