Addressing a huge gathering at the 'Jai Andhra Pradesh' public meet, leader of Opposition and YSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made a pledge not to back down until the Centre accords special category status to the state.

Speaking at the meet, Jagan said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and the Union Ministers have cheated the people of AP with false promises and compromised the welfare of the public due to Cash-for-Vote case.

Stating that Chandrababu had attained No.1 rank among Corrupt leaders, the YSRCP Chief said that the former is ineligible to be the Chief Minister due to his involvement in unethical practices.

Talking about the special status, Jagan said that Centre has the responsibility to fulfill the promise and mentioned that the 2019 Polls should be a referendum for Special Status, also stating that any national party who seeks votes should promise the special status.
