Kurnool: PCC chief N Raghuveera Reddy alleged that TDP failed to fulfil not even one of the six hundred promises they made before elections. Special Category Status (SCS) is one of the promises that helped to gain power in the State, which they conveniently ignored, he charged.

Reddy along with senior Congress leaders like, Tulasi Reddy, Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy and others conducted solicited opinions from people on SCS as a part of ‘Praja Ballot’ programme, here on Monday.

Later speaking to media contingent, the PCC chief blamed the government for its inability to secure SCS. “We have taken up the mantle of fighting for SCS as BJP-led Central government made it clear that it was not possible to accord SCS,” he informed. He challenged the TDP and BJP to come into the public and participate in the ‘Praja Ballot’ to know what people of the State are thinking about SCS.

Senior leader N Tulasi Reddy said that if SCS was accorded to the State, Seemandhra would have been transformed as ‘Swarnandhra’. Accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of cheating the people of the State, he said that Congress would have accorded the much needed status.Later, the leaders and cadre took out a rally from I Town Police Station to Kotla Circle, where they addressed a mass gathering.
