Prakasam dist first in LA cases settlement
Prakasam district Judge MJ Priyadarsini announced that that the district achieved top position in the State by settling 3,932 cases at Mega Lok Adalat last month.
Ongole: Prakasam district Judge MJ Priyadarsini announced that that the district achieved top position in the State by settling 3,932 cases at Mega Lok Adalat last month.
While participating in the National Legal Service Day celebrations at the office of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) on Wednesday, she thanked the police, revenue and public organisations for cooperating with the District Legal Services Authority. The Judge requested the revenue department to extend cooperation as the Legal Services Cell is receiving more complaints on the issues related to it.
She said that the next Lok Adalat is scheduled for November 12 and asked all the departments to cooperate with the DLSA.
District SP Trivikrama Varma said that the DLSA has become a good platform for settling the issues related to land.
He said that a DSP level officer was allocated to see into the cases being taken up at DLSA and cooperate with them in settling the cases fast.
DLSA secretary T Raja Venkatadri said that the DLSA has conducted 365 legal awareness camps in the district.
He also said that the DLSA has offered legal help to 124 people, settled 3,786 pre-litigation cases and 11375 pending cases.
