Visakhapatnam: The fifth edition of CII - India@75’s cycling extravaganza is being organised in the city for the first time on November 12. India@75, a Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) initiative, envisions how India should be in its 75th year of independence. India@75 would organise a cleanliness drive and a cyclathon to promote cycling as a healthy way of life and to propagate Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.
The cyclathon is expected to have over 500 cycling enthusiasts from various corporates, colleges and people from all walks of life in the city participating in the multiple ride segments. The cyclathon would start from the Beach Road and cover various areas in the city. Around 400 student volunteers will participate in the beach cleaning drive and spread the importance of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.
The 75 km “Signature Ride of the Event” is conceptualised to coincide with India@75 theme and will see riders from over 10 companies. In addition to this, there will be the Joy Ride – a shorter distance of five km and corporate relay ride for teams to ride together.
