Municipal Commissioner M Harinarayanan asked the engineering officials to send proposals for the construction of a shopping complex near 75-ft road in the Ward No.26.
Visakhapatnam: Municipal Commissioner M Harinarayanan asked the engineering officials to send proposals for the construction of a shopping complex near 75-ft road in the Ward No.26.
The Commissioner visited the areas at Ward-26, Ramakrishna Rythu Bazar and Nehru Bazar on Thursday where he directed the AMOH Dr Muralimohan to initiate steps for proper usage of public toilets at Kobbarithota area.
If public also cooperate with the officials, Visakha city will be declared as Open Defecation-Free City soon, he added. Municipal chief engineer V Chandraiah, zonal commissioners P Nallanaiah and V Chakradhara Rao, executive engineer Mahesh, ACP Satyanarayana and sanitary supervisor Syamsunder were present.
Later, a team of Indian Institute of Public Administration called on Harinarayanan on Thursday to congratulate him for taking up various development activities in the city which they have witnessed through a PowerPoint presentation on Wednesday.
