Visakhapatnam: The most auspicious ‘Raata Muhurtam’ for the ensuing month-long Margasiramaasotsav was conducted amid chanting of Vedic hymns at Goddess Sri Kanaka Maha Lakshmi temple here on Thursday.
With ‘Raata Muhurtam’, the temple authorities would start making arrangements for the biggest annual utsav in which nearly one lakh devotees are expected to have darshan on every auspicious Thursday during the month of Margasira.
MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar, temple executive officer S J Madhavi, temple Trust Board chairman W Bhaskara Rao, trustees Ch Chandra Rao, V Vijay Kumar, Ch Durga Prasad, temple Assistant EO P Rama Rao, supervisors S Surya Kumari, S V V S S A N Raju, Rameshbabu and assistant engineer K S N Murty were present on the occasion.
