NSTL emerges as team champion
The DRDO Central Zone Table Tennis Tournament-2016, which began at the NSTL campus on Wednesday, concluded on Friday in which the NSTL team with Captain G Ravi has emerged as the team champion while the DRDL team with Md Ghouse as captain was the runner-up.
Visakhapatnam: The DRDO Central Zone Table Tennis Tournament-2016, which began at the NSTL campus on Wednesday, concluded on Friday in which the NSTL team with Captain G Ravi has emerged as the team champion while the DRDL team with Md Ghouse as captain was the runner-up.
In men’s singles, G Ravi of NSTL was the winner, P Pramod of DRDL runners up, K Divya Soujanya of NSTL was the winner in the women’s singles and V Kalpana of NSTL runner-up, in men’s doubles, Ghouse and Pramod were the winners and Nagaraju and B Satyanarayana runners-up, in women’s doubles K Divya Soujanya and V Kalpana were the winners and S Patra and A Parida runner-up, in veteran singles S Mohapatra was the winner, while H N Panigrahi runner-up and in veteran doubles Gangaram and Babu Rao were the winners while Sudhakar, Abdul Alim Mohapatra runners-up.
Officiating Director A V V S Murthy distributed the trophies and medals to the winners and runners and Sports Committee chairman T Venkata Ratnam, secretary P Appayya and members of NSTL Civil Employees’ Union were present.
