Tirupati to have more air connectivity
Shukla said that private airline services had agreed to operate their flight services between Tirupati and the three cities of Coimbatore, Goa and Mumbai and to begin with, Coimbatore- based ‘Air Carnival’, a regional airline would start its Coimbatore-Tirupati-Coimbatore service for four days a week from November 17.
Tirupati: Tirupati will soon have more direct flight services to a greater number of cities in the country including Coimbatore, Goa and Mumbai.
According to Tirupati sub-collector Himanshu Shukla, the decision comes in the backdrop of the government’s decision to aggressively promote religious tourism in the State.
Shukla said that private airline services had agreed to operate their flight services between Tirupati and the three cities of Coimbatore, Goa and Mumbai and to begin with, Coimbatore- based ‘Air Carnival’, a regional airline would start its Coimbatore-Tirupati-Coimbatore service for four days a week from November 17.
The flight service will be operated from Thursday to Sunday in a week while Spice Jet had also agreed to operate their service from Mumbai to Tirupati from next month, he said.
