Rajahmahendravaram: CPI State secretary K Ramakrishna criticised the Central gobvernment’s move to ban Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes without making necessary arrangements.

He said common people are facing hardships as consumables are going out of reach. Expressing doubts over the functioning of the governments in State and Centre, he warned that prices of daily consumables cannot be controlled unless proper alternative steps were taken.

Speaking to the media contingent here on Sunday, Ramakrishna alleged that the demonetisation move was leaked to the BJP leaders and their friends. He criticised that the government announced the ban after converting their black money to white.

He said that Chandrababu Naidu was aware of this decision and that was why he wrote a letter to the Prime Minister. Ramakrishna said only Rs 32 lakh crore black money was in the country where as Rs 80 lakh crore black money was safe in Swiss banks.

He demanded the government for stringent action against the people, who amassed black money.The Left leader said that he would tour Polavaram and would take the issue of displaced people to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
