Good response to ‘I Ride with India bicycle rally’
The bicyclers started from the IGMC Stadium and went to Benz Circle and returned back. The bicyclers have enthusiastically participated in the programme.
Vijayawada: In all, 600 cyclists participated in the ‘I Ride with India’ 5km cycling rally in the city on Sunday. Vijayawada Police Commissioner D Gautam Sawang flagged off 5km cycling rally on Bandar Road at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium.
The bicyclers started from the IGMC Stadium and went to Benz Circle and returned back. The bicyclers have enthusiastically participated in the programme.
Vijayawada Cycle Club, Capital Cycle Club, Bezawada Panthers and Amaravati Bicyclers Club organised the programme. Police Commissioner Gautam Sawang was also participated in the 5km cycling rally.
Speaking on the occasion, Sawang said that using bicycles would convert the city into pollution-free. He appreciated the Cycle Clubs for conducting the rally. He suggested to the clubs that they should conduct awareness camps on cycling.
Traffic DCP Kanthi Rana Tata, clubs organiser Satya Kumar and others participated in the programme.
