Visakhapatnam: Anakapalli MP Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao disclosed that all TDP MPs will exert pressure on the Centre not only for securing funds, but also urging to fulfil the promises incorporated in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act in the ensuing winter session of Parliament.

Talking to reporters here on Sunday, Srinivasa Rao said issues, including setting up of more educational institutions, deficit budget, special packages and funds to the highways will be raised in Parliament sessions by all party MPs.

Quoting Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s initiative in achieving separate railway zone for Vizag, the MP said they will also mount pressure on the Centre in this regard.

Hitting out at the Opposition party indirectly, the MP alleged that some political leaders were trying to mislead the people with regard to the Special Category Status and special packages as they do not want the State to be developed. “We, as TDP MPs will try to bring more and more funds from the Centre for the all-round development of the State,” he added.
