Pensions under Kashyapa scheme
He said that selected beneficiaries will get Rs 1,000 pension per month. He further stated that the poor Brahmins, who completed 60 years of age on March 1, 2016, are eligible to get pension.
Guntur: Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation district coordinator Siripurapu Sridhar disclosed here on Friday that the corporation is sanctioning pensions under the ashyapa scheme to elderly persons, widows and physically challenged persons.
He said that selected beneficiaries will get Rs 1,000 pension per month. He further stated that the poor Brahmins, who completed 60 years of age on March 1, 2016, are eligible to get pension.
He said the eligible may apply online with Aadhaar card, income, caste certificates and Andhra Bank pass book Xerox copy. Similarly, the eligible may apply for widow pension and physically challenged pensions also. He said for widow pensions, the applicant should enclose death certificate of husband, caste certificate, income certificate and Adhaar card.
He further said that those who apply for physicallychallenged persons pension must enclose physically challenged certificate issued by the government doctor and other necessary certificates before November 30. He urged the eligible to avail the facility provided by the Andhra Brahmin Welfare Corporation.
