Kakinada: Andhra Bank is organising week long activities from November 23 to 30 as part of its founder’s day celebrations. As part of this, the bank will take up a special drive for extending financial assistance to MSME, agriculture and allied priority sectors including housing, vehicle and two-wheeler loans.

A special focus would also be laid on retail credit. Deputy General Manager (DGM) of Andhra Bank P Bhaskara Rao informed that two more branches would be opened at Jonnada in Alamuru mandal and Muramanda in Kadiyam mandal which would take the total number of branches in the district to 128. Apart from this, two more

ATMs would be installed at Kakinada and one in Rajamahendravaram taking the bank’s tally of ATMs in the district to 102. The DGM said that measures had been initiated to make available the Rs 2,000 currency notes at all the ATMs of the bank.

He further said that in line with instructions from the police department, all branches and ATMs were provided with CC cameras covering up to 50 metres of the premises of each bank and ATM.
