The Dhone police arrested nine red sanders smugglers and seized 64 red sanders logs worth Rs 8 lakh besides two cars from them. The accused were presented before the media at Ved Vyas Auditorium on Monday.Â
Kurnool: The Dhone police arrested nine red sanders smugglers and seized 64 red sanders logs worth Rs 8 lakh besides two cars from them. The accused were presented before the media at Ved Vyas Auditorium on Monday.
District Superintendent of Police (SP) Ake Ravi Krishna said Dhone DSP Baba Fakruddin and his team intercepted two cars carrying 14 red sanders logs at old Cherlopalli Reservoir.
The police took six persons into custody. During the interrogation, the members have revealed that 50 more red sanders logs were hid at a field near SRBC Canal on the outskirts of Sangapatnam village.
The police raided the spot and seized red sanders logs and two cars besides taking three more persons into custody. He appreciated Dhone DSP Fakruddin, Banaganapalli Circle Inspector P Srinivas, Owk Sub Inspector Venkatarami Reddy, Banaganapalli SIs Rakesh and Vijaya Lakshmi, Dhone SI Srinivas and their team.
