Kadapa: TDP district president R Srinivasulu Reddy said on Monday that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be visiting the district on November 26. The Chief Minister will be participating in Jana Chaitanya Yatra in Rajampet town.
The TDP supremo will address party workers at a meeting in Meda Convention Centre in Kadapa on the same day. Later, he will interact with the Self Help Groups (SHGs) at Kadapa Municipal Grounds in the evening.
The party district chief stated that Chandrababu will hold a meeting with key leaders to ensure party candidate victory in the ensuing MLC polls.
The local leadership reportedly unhappy with the party high command for finalising the name of B.Tech Ravi as party nominee for MLC polls.
They opined that high command took a unilateral decision on candidate selection bowing to the pressure of Rajya Sabha MP CM Ramesh.
However, Srinivasulu Reddy said that district party leaders have unanimously proposed the name of Ravi as party candidate for MLC polls.
Meanwhile, District Collector K V Satyanarayana held a review meeting with the officials on Monday, for making foolproof arrangements for the Chief Minister’s visit. Joint Collector Swetha Teotia, OSD Satya Yesu Babu, DRO Eswaraiah, DSP V Rajagopala Reddy and others were present.
