For the past two years, people of Thundurru village near Bhimavaram have been raising the issue of the Aqua Food Park protesting against the idea.

The villagers even approached Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan who extended support to them and even appealed to the state government in a press conference to to shift the Aqua Food Park to another location as its gonna pollute the surroundings.

He urged the government to not let the village become another Nadigram adding that these factories produce wastes polluting the rivers and questioned the government on not responding to the plight of the villagers.

While Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu didn't respond to the request entirely, the government assured the villagers that the area will be a no-pollution zone.

The latest reports suggest that Pawan Kalyan has sent partymen to Thundurru to examine the situation at the ground level and the Jana Sena leader himself is planning to visit West Godavari depending on the feedback.

Pawan Kalyan is likely to meet the villagers at the end of November or in the first week of December.
