Governor ESL Narasimhan, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed their condolences over the demise of Dr M Balamuralikrishna at Chennai on Tuesday.
​Hyderabad: Governor ESL Narasimhan, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed their condolences over the demise of Dr M Balamuralikrishna at Chennai on Tuesday.
In a statement, the Governor said, Dr Balamuralikrishna is a legendary Carnatic vocalist and composer and the country has lost a renowned personality and the void will be difficult to fill.
"His life is an inspiration to new generation of musicians and following the path laid by him would be a greatest tribute," he said.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao stated that Dr Balamuralikrishna had created a special place for himself in the world of Carnatic music.
He had enthralled the people with his unmatched voice for several decades. Perhaps, he was the last Vaggeyakara (Singer -Composer) of the modern age and lived like a true Emperor of Carnatic music.
Dr Balamurali had taken the melody of Carnatic music to all corners of the World. His demise has created a great void for the Carnatic genre of music.
However, his vast collection of Carnatic music will continue to enthrall people and be a guiding spirit to the generations to come, the Telangana Chief Minister observed and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the members of Dr Balamuralikrishna’s family.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed grief and sorrow on the unfortunate demise of music legend.
The Chief Minister said that Dr Balamuralikrishna is one of the most famous names associated with classical Carnatic music and that his contribution to the field has been immense.
"Dr Balamuralikrishna’s works fascinated music lovers for more than three decades. Today, we have lost a great legend and the most respected figures in the field of music.
On behalf of the people of state, I would like to say that Andhra Pradesh will remain indebted to Dr Balamuralikrishna for his contribution to the field,” Naidu said.
