Telugu Desam Party leaders reacted stongly against YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's protests against the proposed Divi’s Laboratories in East Godavari district where he called on the victims who were affected from the flow of effluents in the company.

While YS Jagan's opposition garnered massive response, AP Irrigation minister Devineni Umameshwara Rao questioned as to why the former was not raising protests at Ramky Pharma that is setting up its unit in Visakhapatnam.

He further alleged that Jagan taken up the protests only because Divi’s Laboratories had refused to pay him kickbacks.

Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu reacted to the YSRCP Chief's criticism on the immense growth of Heritage group in a short period of time and said that the company was 23-year-old, hence the growth was gradual.

The Minister also said that Heritage is not one of Jagan's companies that made crores of rupees without even producing anything adding that the latter already sold Rs 10 worth shares of his company for thousands of rupees before any of it started production.

Meanwhile, YSRC spokesperson K Parthasarathi too countered to the TDP backlash and said that Jagan had always supported any project that benefits people but the Pharma Company Divis Labs was affecting the public due to the flow of effluents.
