All set for NIDJAM-2016
All necessary arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the three-day National Inter-District Junior Athletic Meet-2016 (NIDJAM) at the C K Naidu Stadium at Ukkunagaram which begins today.Â
Visakhapatnam: All necessary arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the three-day National Inter-District Junior Athletic Meet-2016 (NIDJAM) at the C K Naidu Stadium at Ukkunagaram which begins today.
Director of Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh Bangaru Raju, District Sports Development Officer June Galliat, Executive Director of Tourism Sriramulu Naidu and other members of the committee visited the stadium on Thursday and inspected the arrangements. The members examined the sports material, food counters, dressing rooms, rest rooms, lighting and water facilities at the venue. More than 3,500 athletes and coaches have already arrived in the city and registered their names.
District Collector Praveen Kumar also inspected the arrangements at the venue and gave instructions to officials accordingly.
Accommodation for female athletes has been provided at the AP Tribal Welfare School, Marikavalasa, Social Welfare School, Meghadrigedda and Vignan School, Timmapuram and for male athletes at Sri Chaitanya College, Marikavalasa and at the Social Welfare Schools in Sri Krishnapuram and Madhuravada (Kommadi).
