Vijayawada: Left parties have decided to stage protests against the demonetisation move of the Centre, on November 28 in all districts of Andhra Pradesh. CPI State Secretary K Ramakrishna, CPM State secretary P Madhu, CPM (ML) leader Gurram Vijay Kumar and other Left party leaders in a press release here on Thursday said crores of people were suffering due to the demonetisation decision by the Centre.

They alleged that the Centre was doing nothing to address the woes of the people arising as a result of scrapping the higher denomination currency notes.

They demanded that the Central Government extend the deadline for accepting the higher denomination notes till alternative arrangements were made.

They urged the people to participate in the protests in the State against the failure of the Union Government to supply small denomination notes new notes of Rs 500.
