Visakhapatnam: The three-day unique industrial cum excursion visit-‘Mundadugu’ taken up by the district police for tribal students, evoked a good response and nearly 100 students accompanied by teachers and representatives of KEN Foundation from interior agency areas of Chintapalli, G K Veedhi and G Madugula arrived here on Thursday.

Elaborate arrangements including food, accommodation and transport were made by the respective Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors and district police under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Rahul Dev Sharma and Additional SP (Operations) Attada Babuji. The students would be taken to the Vizag Steel Plant, Airport, Visakhapatnam Port, Kurusura Submarine Museum, Rama Krishna Beach, Vuda Central Park and Visakha Museum on Friday.

Police officials accompanying the students would educate the students on the significance of each place they visited. Meanwhile, VUDA vice- chairman T Baburao Naidu invited the students to his office on Thursday for a HI-Tea and interacted with the students on many important issues such as education and how to come up in life as good citizens with human values. Baburao informed the students that the government has been providing ample opportunities for higher education and to utilize the same.
