Kadapa: Minister of State for Science and Technology Y Sujana Chowdary urges people to prefer cashless transactions to tide over the present financial crunch.

Admitting that people are facing severe hardships across the country after demonetisation of high-value notes, he felt that it’s high time people use technology like e-PoS and mobile transactions introduced by the State government since its only alternative right now.

Addressing a gathering after participating in the Vanam –Manam programme at Kammavari Palli village of Pullampeta mandal on Friday, he said that the sudden decision taken by the Centre triggered a panic kind of situation among the people, but people of AP were less worried with State government initiating cash less transactions.

While alleging that Kadapa district did not achieve development under the stewardship of late YSR, but Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is keen on developing Kadapa as there are adequate natural resources available in the district.

In view of providing employment to the local youth, Central and State governments are committed to establish the steel factory which only confined to the papers during the Congress regime.

Responding to the plea of the local leaders over sanctioning of Innovation centre in Yogi Vemana University, the Minister assured to pursue it and make it a reality soon.

The Minister urged the people to utilise the Jana Chaitanya Yatra and Vanam-Manam programme sponsored by the State government as they will be useful to the future generations. Rajya Sabha Member CM Ramesh and others like M Mallikarjuna Reddy, Satish Reddy and Collector K V Satyanarayana were present.

Later, Union Minister took part Jana Chaitanya Yatra and participated in bike rally headed by local leader Viswanatha Naidu here on Friday.

Party functionaries in large numbers participated in the procession. The minister also visited the tomb of Gunipati Ramaiah at Mangampet village and paid rich tributes to the departed leader.
