Visakhapatnam: The Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited of Andhra Pradesh (APEPDCL) has launched e-PoS machines (swiping)
at its West Electricity Revenue Centre to overcome the problem of liquid cash and to help power consumers switch over to cashless
transactions, here on Saturday.

APEDCL Chairman and Managing Director MM Nayak who launched the e-PoS machines said that the consumers could remit power bills by
swiping their debit or credit cards and appealed to the public to cooperate in encouraging cashless transactions. He informed that e-PoS
machines are being launched across all the 319 electricity bill payment centres under EPDCL jurisdiction in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram,
Visakhapatnam and East and West Godavari districts to benefit the customers.

He also informed that consumers may pay the bills by swiping credit or debit cards at all its 31 Electricity Revenue Offices, 13 Sub-
Electricity Revenue Offices, 20 Town Collection Centers and 255 Revenue Cashier Counters in the jurisdiction of EPDCL. “We have tied-up
with Bank of Baroda, HDFC Bank, Bank of India and Axis Bank which are supplying 319 e-PoS machines,” he said.
