The Tribal Welfare Junior College students’ here bagged overall championship at the events conducted on November 22 and 23
Srisailam Project: The Tribal Welfare Junior College students’ here bagged overall championship at the events conducted on November 22 and 23 in Nellore. A junior inter student Thati Anji Babu stood first in individual events of 100 and 200 metres run and Javelin throw and bagged championship.
Another inter first year student Komaragiri Venkata Rao was selected for national wrestling championship to be held at New Delhi on January 2nd next year. He has won gold medal at the state-level wrestling championship held at Kalyandurg. Other students participated in volleyball, shuttle badminton and Kabaddi and stood runners.
On this occasion a felicitation programme was arranged to the winners and runners. The ITDA PO B Srinivasa Rao appreciated the students for winning overall championship. He wished all the best to the gold medal winner Venkat Rao on his selection to national-level wrestling championship. College Principal Md Ismail and Physical Director K Showri Raju were present.
