Chain snatchers arrested

The Central Crime Station police of the city nabbed five chain snatchers and seized gold ornaments, mobiles and two motorcycles from their possession on Friday. The CCS police arrested V Saibabu, D Narasimha Raju, D Sirishbabu, SK Dada of the city and G Satish Kumar of Muchenapalli village of Krishna district.

The CCS police arrested V Saibabu, D Narasimha Raju, D Sirishbabu, SK Dada of the city and G Satish Kumar of Muchenapalli village of Krishna district.
The police said that the offenders committed crime of chain snatchings in Machavaram, Bhavanipuram, Penamaluru and Ibrahimpatnam police station limits. Explaining the modus operandi of the accused, the police said that the offenders used to select lonely woman walking on the streets and resort to chain snatching.
