Indus School students qualify for National competitions

Kurnool: Director of Montessori Schools KNV Rajasekhar said the students of the Montessori schools excelled in the sports and games event conducted by the school and games federation for under-14 and under-17 events and by virtue of their performance had qualified for State and National Level games. He said around 66 students have been selected for State and National level events but the venue and date was not yet confirmed.

He said that of the 66 students, four students are currently participating in the National Level games. Sai Mohan Chowdary and Deepak were participating in the swimming competitions being held in Gujarat while Rama Sandeep was playing Hockey at the competitions in Haryana, said Rajasekhar. He said the remaining 62 students have been selected for State and National level competitions that are likely to be held at New Delhi and other parts of India.

School Correspondent Dr Gayani Rajasekhar said all the four students who are taking part at National Level games are pursuing 10th class. “They are the pride of Indus school and we expect them to come out with flying colours in the State and National level competitions,” he said. The School sports and games events were conducted from November 22 to November 26 at Outdoor stadium, Kurnool. .Head Mistress Meenakshi Wilson, Coordinators, Physical Education Teacher Ram Mohan Reddy, Swimming Coach Rangaiah and Yoga Teacher Srinivasulu congratulated the participants.
