Hundreds of women devotees pulled the divine chariot on which Padmavathi was seated eloquently in all Her divine charm. The procession which lasted for almost an hour, pulled along the four-mada streets of Tiruchanur temple. 

Tiruchanur: The golden chariot procession took place with religious ecstasy here on Thursday evening in connection with the nine-day annual Brahmotsavams in the temple of Goddess Padmavathi.

Hundreds of women devotees pulled the divine chariot on which Padmavathi was seated eloquently in all Her divine charm. The procession which lasted for almost an hour, pulled along the four-mada streets of Tiruchanur temple.

The entire temple town turned golden yellow with the rays of setting sun falling on the golden chariot enhancing its glory and giving a rare feast to the eyes of multitude of devotees, who converged to witness the grandeur of Goddess on the celestial Swarna Ratham. The temple premises reverberated with devotees chanting ‘Govinda Padmavathi’ namas while pulling the chariot with
devotion.

TTD Chairman Dr Ch Krishnmurthy, Tirupati JEO Pola Bhaskar, Special Grade Deputy EO Munirathnam Reddy, AEO Sri Radhakrishna, temple staff, priests and devotees took part in chariot procession.
