Rajamahendravaram: Municipal Commissioner V V Vijayarama Raju urged woman groups to gain expertise on cashless transactions and create awareness among other women.

He mentioned that economical stability will arrive with cashless transactions and addressed at the awareness seminar held for women groups on cashless transactions here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Vijayarama Raju made it clear that there will be no harm for the poor people due to demonetisation and people who earn money with honesty will not suffer due to ban of high-value notes. Stating that loans will be sanctioned for women groups, he said that there will be no cash payments and money will be deposited directly into banks. He informed that the money should be obtained through cheques and ATMs.

Though this system will be painful in the beginning, he said that better results will arrive in future. He explained that the money will be deposited into the accounts of pensioners before 5th of this month and made it clear that cash payments have been stopped. If the money was not deposited into the accounts of pensioners, he called upon the beneficiaries to approach him so that he can take steps to resolve it. He called upon the women to download SBI buddy app introduced by the SBI through which one can make payments and transfer money.

Adding to it, Mayor Pantam Rajani Sesha Sai said that cashless transactions are the future of the country and called upon everyone to adopt it. She said that big notes were withdrawn to curb black money.
