Visakhapatnam: Joint Collector G Srujana said that December quota of essential commodities will be given on a credit basis. She warned the FP dealers of action if they demand cash, or deny giving quota for December.

She disclosed here on Friday that the dealers should provide December quota material to the card holders on credit basis even though they have no bank accounts until they open the accounts. The amounts to be paid to the dealers for December quota will be transferred from the card holders’ accounts to the dealers’ accounts in January.

In case if the accounts of the card holders are not activated immediately, the government will pay the amount which will be recovered soon after the activation of accounts. Even if the card holders take the December quota from other FP shops, the amount will be transferred to the dealers’ accounts in January. It was also under active consideration of the government to provide quota material to the dealers on credit basis from next month for which a decision will be taken soon, she added.

She also directed the officials to prepare the Real Time Data about the total quantity of paddy produced in the district through e-Agriculture app and accordingly, the centres would be opened one each at two or three villages from where the paddy will be supplied to the millers.
