Balayya’s wife carries 10 lakh in old notes?
According to sources, the CISF personnel who were on security while checking the baggage of Vasundhara, who came along with a group of seven members of her relatives, found the cash in one of the bags when they landed at Renigunta airport at 10 am to offer prayers to Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala.
Tirupati: The finding of Rs 10 lakh cash with Vasundara, wife of film actor and TDP MLA N Balakrishna at Renigunta airport created flutter here on Saturday.
According to sources, the CISF personnel who were on security while checking the baggage of Vasundhara, who came along with a group of seven members of her relatives, found the cash in one of the bags when they landed at Renigunta airport at 10 am to offer prayers to Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala.
On receipt of information from CISF, IT officials from Tirupati rushed to the airport located 20 km from here.However, it is learnt that on verification, Vasundhara showed the source for the cash, convincing the officials to allow the group to proceed to Tirumala.
The cash was of old notes or new currency was not immediately known and officials were not available for confirmation.
