Government releases `49.9 crore input subsidy

​Vijayawada: The State government released Rs 49.9 crore as input subsidy to farmers of 13 mandals in the district who lost their corps due to drought in the State. Joint director of Agriculture U Narasimha Rao said the government released the input subsidy to 7,380 beneficiaries and the amount would be distributed to farmers soon.
He also said the government has already released Rs 37.87 lakh input subsidy in October to farmers in six mandals who lost their crops due to hailstorm in April 2015 and Rs 36.48 lakh has already been transferred to the beneficiaries’ individual accounts.
