Speaking to media here on Saturday, SIRC chairman E Phalguna Kumar said that the largest and prestigious convention of the CA fraternity is being held in Tirupati for the first time and will witness the convergence of around 2,500 Chartered Accountants from different parts of South India, besides eminent persons from all over India. 

Tirupati: The Southern India Regional Council (SIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is conducting its 48th Regional Conference of Chartered Accountants here in Veterinary University Grounds from December 6 and 7.

Speaking to media here on Saturday, SIRC chairman E Phalguna Kumar said that the largest and prestigious convention of the CA fraternity is being held in Tirupati for the first time and will witness the convergence of around 2,500 Chartered Accountants from different parts of South India, besides eminent persons from all over India.

The two-day event will be inaugurated by Human Resource Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao. The event also includes key note addresses and presentation of technical papers and also on the much talked demonetisation and its effects by eminent professionals, he said adding that ICAI president M Devaraja Reddy and vice-president Nilesh S Vikamsey will also take part.

Phalguna Kumar said that the meet also discuss the awareness to be created among the people on the government policy with regard to taxation and added that it is the bounden duty of the CAs as part of the society to lend its support to government by enlightening the public on the need to abide by the tax laws to avoid complications. Local Chartered Accountants association leaders B Chandra Reddy and others were also present.
