Dharna for proper implementation of Sub-Plan funds

Guntur: CPI district secretary Jangala Ajay Kumar alleged that the attacks on Dalits and minorities are on the rise after Narendra Modi taking charge as the Prime Minister.
Addressing a press meet in the city, he demanded that the Centre implement SC, ST Atrocities Act strictly and opposed anti-people policies of the Central and State governments.
He said over 100 persons died while standing in queues to withdraw money at ATMs after the ban on Rs1000 and Rs.500 notes and now the government imposed curbs on gold. He opposed anti-people policies of the government. He said CPI will stage a dharna at the Collectorate on December 6 to mount pressure on the government to properly implement the SC, ST Sub-Plans and not to divert funds allotted for them.
He appealed to the people to make the proposed dharna a success. He warned that the people will teach a lesson to Narendra Modi in next elections. AITUC district general secretary Veluguri Radha Krishna Murthy, CPI leaders were present in the press meet.
