JC inspects water plant unit

Nellore: Joint Collector A Md Imtiyaz Ahmed paid a surprise visit to a packaged water plant at Allipuram road on Sunday and inspected the
micro-biology laboratory and chemical laboratory in the plant. He also examined the certificates issued by the Bureau of Indian Standards,
documents related to Food safety and commercial tax licenses of the firm.

Later, speaking to the media, the JC said that Managements of mineral water plants should strictly adhere to quality standards and warned of
stern action against them if they failed to get a BIS certificate. He further informed that a review meeting on the performance of water plant
units would be held at the Collectorate on Monday.
