Opposition criticism uncalled for, says BJP

Srikakulam: Opposition parties, including Congress criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for demonetisation and imposing limit on gold is
uncalled for, BJP State vice-president Y Raghunadha Babu and other senior leaders Pydi Venugopalam, Pudi Tirupathi Rao, D Ravindra.

Speaking at a press conference here on Sunday, they charged that Congress and other Opposition parties are creating confusion among
people for their political gain, but people are intelligent and can understand the decision taken by the Prime Minister as it would be pay
dividends in long run.

With an aim to contain black money, the Union government took a bold decision, they explained.

People, who are having 950 grams of gold, did not fear to store at their houses, but if they have more than the limit they have to answer and
provide proofs for the gold, they clarified. “The BJP leaders said that demonetisation and restriction on gold will lead to positive results in
economy and we have to wait for the day. Prices of commodities, bank interest rates and rates in real estate will come down in future and the
common man will be happy except Opposition leaders, they said.
