Visakhapatnam: The Road Transport Authority (RTA) will be introducing cashless payment system for all types of services by setting up of
Point of Sale (PoS) machines soon to help save time and commission on bank payments.

Deputy Transport Commissioner S V Rao informed that there will be no cash payments once the new system comes into force while all types of
registration fee or taxes could be paid through new system, but for obtaining fancy numbers and to reserve other fancy numbers, the vehicle
users should bring demand drafts.

He said if all types of payments are made through e-PoS machines through debit or ATM cards, the vehicle users could complete their work
within short time and no need to pay commission to middlemen.

He said that necessary steps have been taken to complete the work of setting up of special counters for making payments through e-PoS
machines and a Help Desk was already established by deploying an administrative officer Mandhatha to help complete the payments to be
made through card system. All types of fee, taxes, penalties, life tax, quarterly taxes, green tax and tax on having second vehicle could be
remitted at the special counter, he added.
