Colleges told to campaign about cashless transactions

Visakhapatnam: Collector Praveen Kumar asked all Andhra University affiliated colleges to take up campaign in educating the villagers about cashless transactions by adopting villages in 39 mandals in the district.

Reviewing the progress use of e-PoS machines in the district here on Tuesday, Praveen Kumar asked the bankers to provide 6,000 e-PoS machines to various government departments and business establishments in a fortnight. He informed so far 1,019 e-PoS machines were given to the district officials and directed them to put them in use. Lead Bank Manager L Saratbabu and district coordinator for cashless transactions Dr Rammohan and others were present.

Meanwhile, the officials selected Aratlakota village in Payakaraopet mandal, Mukundarajupet in Nakkapalli mandal, Gudivada in S Rayavaram mandal and Rajupeta in Kotaurtla mandal to take up campaign about digital transactions among villagers.
